Manufacturing site

In 1939, Mr. Chamot acquired a former mill which he transformed into a factory for manufacturing boots at Pont d'Ouilly in the heart of Swiss Normandy.

This region in Normandy, situated in the areas of l'Orne and Calvados owes its name to the river Orne which runs through it and which has carved out gorges and cliffs giving rise to magnificent countryside.

This site at Pont d'Ouilly, established along the Noireau, a little tributary of the Orne, is made up of the boot manufacturing factory and a manor built of old stone in the style of the region.

Before becoming the Le Chameau's museum, this manor was Claude Chamot's residence.

Dedicated to top quality designs and to working with leather, this site is the driving force of the brand's know-how today.
